McDonalds leaves Iceland - What happens if I keep one for a year

I heard this story the other day that a guy had bought a McDonalds hamburger and forgot it in his backpack. Then he left the country for one year and when he came back it was still fresh. Talk about un unhealthy food.

Since it was the last day of McDonalds in Iceland, I thought I'd find out if the myth is true. Will a McDonalds hamburger stay fresh after 1 year of storage. I'm keeping it in a shelf. I'm not putting it in the freezer or anything.
