  • There are people who listen to music for fun. Then there are others who appreciate music as an art.

  • @Rohit300tr00 There are also those who listen to it for fun but it also happens to be art and better than the crap on the radio.

  • 2:21 remembers me the intro of my friend of misery...

  • @KamiMetal WHen I presented the wonderful music of Agalloch to my brother, he said he didn't like it, and when I asked him why he replied: "meh....I don't like the vocals, they're strange.." In my head I was like HOW THE HELL CAN YOU NOT LIKE THAT VOICE!? He's a big fan of Agalloch now though!

  • @Rohit300tr00 Agree. However, not accepting music (or film either) as art is like not accepting a painting as art. They're all composed to channel emotions through different mediums, whether it be oil paint and canvas, a camera and editing software, or music instruments and throat.

  • @ThinkingisExtinct That description was Godly, my friend - cheers! I'm personally quite partial to The Mantle - probably mostly because of 'In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion,' which is... fucking incredible, for lack of grander terms. But Pale Folklore does just what you said... it flies into your mind, like a raven beckoned by the call of Odin. The music just *is* is what it is, and the fact remains that it's all hauntingly beautiful. I love this band so much. Agalloch for the win.

  • @ThinkingisExtinct I'd go for ashes IMO

  • This is a masterpiece. I'm speachless.

  • Thank you so much for posting this.

    Very awesome song, album.

I wore this out on my mp3 player.

  • This is my favourite agalloch album by far...I haven't found anyone who shares this opinion. They always opt for mantle! Pale folklore is so powerful for me. Mantle can become a little sterile sometimes due to overproduction (tongue in cheek...that album is awesome). Pale folklore, makes me always forget the context of production is like any other piece of music, I imagine the music didn't come from instruments, the music somehow just 'is', it flew into my consciousness from nowhere ><

  • My fav Agalloch song. The "whispering wind", then the riffs coming in, and his HAUNTING, dark sexy lyrics.
