This was part of an exam in my ASL 2 class.

I'm retelling an ASL story of a Deaf man who uses sound to his advantage in finding his Deaf wife.

Translation: A Deaf husband and wife go on vacation. They drive all day, but get tired and stop at a motel. They ask for a room, and the manager says there is one last room available. The husband tells the wife that he's going to go buy something to drink. The wife gets the key and goes up to the room. Upon returning, the husband realizes that he doesn't know which room is their room. Looking up at the windows, he sees all the lights are off. He gets an idea. Using the car horn, he wakes everyone up. By deduction, he figures out that the room with the lights still off is his wife's room.

  • Great facial expressions and placement. It's funny how much of it is understandbale from BSL. Looks like you are doing well at ASL. Good job! :)

  • Thanks, Torbyrne! Are you going to make a video in BSL? I'd love to see something in it. (:
