Very nice. Crispy beats and meaty fills... lol. I was just researching this product for my home studio when I found this vid. Being a drummer myself I have to say excellent tuning man. Now I know what my tuned drums will sound like on this product. Course I'm a DW guy but still Gretsch is incredible as well. Curious though.. they are maple drums correct? And did you record directly in or use any external preamp? Thanks for the vid! Happy drumming!

Hey thanks a bunch for the kind words. I recorded using the Presonus FP10 interface. It has 8 mic pre's built in. They're really good pre's for the money.

hey man, nice job there !
I am a musician ( play guitar, drums, sing, almost everything xD ).., and im studying sound engineer.
Im interest on making my small homestudio, to start recording and practicing more at home. A own also a laptop ( hp dv2915 ) , and i see that it has a firewire port ( it says " port 1394 ", i know this is firewire but the conector is " 4 pin" , and the connector of that interface is " 6 pin ", but is there any problem with that ?
Thanks and congratulations.

The laptop I recorded this on in this video has a 4 pin firewire connector too, so I just bought a 6pin to 4pin firewire cable. No problems at all. I also have a PCIMCA card that has two 6pin ports too so I could do it either way but I did just use the 4 pin just fine.

the presonus unit is the interface to get all the microphones into the laptop.
