  • Actually safcjimbob, Labour lost the seat because their candidate ran a lacklustre campaign, not because he wasnt born in Carlisle.

John Stevenson is Scottish, do you think that was held against him?

why is it socialists can be so small minded?

  • neil hughes from 49 up standing there.

  • I am sooooo glad Conservative won over those Labour bastards :L ...Look there's my teacher ! :D ! <3

  • Neil Hughes (LibDem) is in the seven up documentary series that has traced his life from 1964. Has been amazing how he's turned his life around and would have been tremendous if he won this. Well done anyway Neil and good luck in the future!!

  • @SAFCJIMBOB well they did, and it shows you that people are using common sense and seeing that there's no future with that rubbish party.

  • EVEN WATCHING THIS NOW NEARLY 6 MONTHS ON I CANT BELIEVE LABOUR LOST THIS SEAT WHY DID WE LOSE IT WE EVEN HELD IN 83...STILL CANT BELIEVE IT DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY REASONS WHY WE LOST THIS SEAT

  • @gazter1 WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE RAN A LACKLUSTRE CAMPAIGN WHAT DID HE SAY OR DO

  • we in the labour party should have had a local candiate not a cockney

  • @SAFCJIMBOB I understand and this is coming from someone who made the mistake of voting Tory but in reality is much happier being an Independant as deep down I wasn't comfortable with the budget and feel the Tories are breaking promises and never again will I lulled into any party's ideology ever again!

  • If anything Labour should have lost more seats!
