  • Santa Monica...i only know that because I used Wiki, i'm a fan but i don't know everything about him

  • hey can any1 tell me if hes got another version of this track with the vocals clearer? iv been lookin for it but cant find it.

  • Don't bother looking, there isn't another version...this version is fine but thanks to the audio compression via youtube's server the quality has been reduced. Try watching it in HQ or something.

  • @steventherunner

One of my fav comments ever.

  • every time i listen to daedelus i get these electronic butterflies flickering inside my body

  • dood i was looking at your youtube page and your info about the about me really tripped me the fuck out while i was listen to this

  • @Gallani101 ok, it makes a little more sense, i dont understand the synth lingo really. it makes sense with the slight tremolo and the second [filter?] adjusts the warble according to the keys played.

i just noticed that some effects on my micron do that, and i wanted to make the effect more accessible.

I jumped right on the hate train, sorry.

goddamn i cant believe daedelus is on youtube. to me thats like adam sandler talking to captain insano,

  • @Daedelusdarling Thank you!

  • @Gallani101 You are close, really it is 2 LFOs on a square-ish wave. The First LFO is acting much like a gentle tremolo on the signal, not fully cutting off the sound. The second LFO is linked to the key played and is augmenting the speed of the first LFO. That's why the speed changes irregardless to the pitch degree, but keyboard position. Hope that is helpful in some small fashion.

  • @ahyeaman It does make sense. If you're looping a sample and then make the sample shorter or longer to change the pitch then the frequency of the sample increases. It is frequency modulation but it's not an effect added to it, it's as a result of the wavetable synthesis that's used. I was just trying to help by answering your question...

  • @Gallani101 wow that makes no sense, thanks. im not completely empty of any information regarding music production, I just wanted a specific answer which you clearly cant provide. I thought it was frequency modulation?

  • @ahyeaman The bassline sound is sample based. The pitch is acheived by altering it's frquency which either shortens or lengthens the sample, which in turn means that each sample comes around more or less often. Capiche?
