Congo should integrate Nkunda forces to end crisis, MEP says

The European Union should follow the recommendation from the International Crisis Group and encourage the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo to integrate the forces of dissident general Laurent Nkunda into its army, letting them stay in North Kivu. This would be an important step towards easing the crisis and fighting that has led more than 400.000 people to flee their homes in recent months.

We congolese are going to allow Nkunda and his destructive force be a part of our national army. A national army is to protect the country and habitants. Nkunda and his forces serve themselves and foreigner collaborators eg Rwanda. This will be a way to promote the rwandese's infiltration into the congolese army. Mr Jurgen Schroder will not advise European countries or America to integrate terrorists in a national army, why are you so destructive when it comes to Africa specially Congo?

Intregrating Nkunda into the army WILL NOT WORK! The current Congolese army is an integrated army and look at the result. The chain of command is completely inefficient. The former rebels do not obey orders of their new commanders. Nkunda was suppose to be integrated after the 2002 peace agreement integrating him again won't solve the issue. Nkunda is a War Criminal he should be in The Hague along with the other War Criminals. Why give him a pass??
