Stray Dog doing ZZ Top's 'Bedroom Thang', recorded live at the Starwood, Los Angeles, during a 'Midsummer New Year's Eve Party' in July of 1974. Snuffy Walden-guitar & vocals, Allan Roberts-bass & vocals, Leslie Sampson-drums. Snuffy leaves the stage at the 6:25 mark and for the next few minutes Allan and Leslie improvise and end the song with their invisible guitarist 'Eric'...Snuffy's echoplex and effects console. For guitar buffs who want to know what equipment Snuffy was playing, here you go, direct from the man himself: "I used two Thor 100 watt amps, a 1952 les paul with a firebird pickup and a PAF (1959), 3 echoplexes and a Univibe, all in series."

  • Excellent guitarist. Greasy, filthy, nasty... I am so sick and tired of the guitar being played as a violin (ala Yngwie, etc...). The guitar is not a violin. This is the natural way I believe a guitar should be approached... Only my opinion. Billy Gibbons is God.

  • @aleisterktk; Right on bro, the guitar ain't no violin!

  • les paul's always get the women.

  • I'd give $5 just to sniff the guitar !

  • @getoverit1969 ; I'll just take the visa-versa on that.

  • Nice big thick wall of sound. I have no idea what that chick is up to but if it was my guitar id have to give her a good spanking for trying to cop off with my best buddy.

  • I imagine my dick being the guitar. Just as long, hard and thick. And old and yellow :O

  • AFUCKINGMEN !!!!

  • Safe to say most people jacked off to this song considering the view

  • First live track I've ever heard from the Dog. I played their album to death on my college radio station shows in '73 and it just makes me sick that this great power trio never got the recognition they deserve; only a handful of my friends know who they are. I'd have killed to see them in concert. Their cover of ZZ's "Chevrolet" blows the original version to pieces. Snuffy, if you're reading this, man, I wish you guys could have taken the world by storm. It's just not fair. Peace, brother...

  • Saw Stray Dogs, late 1973, opening act for Emerson, Lake and Palmer. Good band since I still remember them…

  • that's a nice looking axe, but her ankle's getting in the way...
