SPLASHDOWN at VENTURA KINETIC SCULPTURE RACE 2007

This was our first time at the KSR in Ventura, although we'd been to the one in Ferndale California the previous year. The vehicles in Ferndale are more numerous and fabulous, but this race is shorter and more viewer-friendly. A nice day out doing something dumb. This video is of the first part of the race, the splashdown into Ventura harbor. No sinkings this year. I rearranged the order of attack from smallest to largest splash!

Nice clip! I was on the big bouncing scooter, part of the Hoosier tired KSR crowd. The season's starting up soon, I'll be @ Eureka Memorial Day Weekend, and all the others...see you @ Ventura, if not sooner!

I saw you in Ferndale in 2006. Can't believe how far you bounce that thing! Do you have to take seasick pills to bounce 40 miles between Arcata and Ferndale? Thats a lot of up and down!

It's like riding a horse, tho I haven't done that but once...40 yrs ago.. you bend your knees and keep your head steady. My body keeps bouncing for a few days after the race.....
