Large Facial Abscess

This abscess was drained through the intra oral approach. Different from most abscesses drained in my other videos, this one was very hard to penetrate into the 'core' of the abscess and then it did not drained liquid pus. The pus was almost cottage cheese consistency.
Very difficult procedure overall because of the approach used.

Are you kidding me? What the f---! This guy is not a doctor, he's a shoemaker. He is barbaric. That poor guy is going to have one very very sore mouth. The so called doctor could have made a small incision on the patient's face and in a few months or so it would have faded... for pete's sake. This doctor has done crap like this before. ..

if I am a 'shoemaker' and 'barbaric' then patients have it really bad with anyone else I know. I am kind, careful, and make sure my patients understand and agree with whatever I am doing. You should watch the second video where the patient clearly states that he was NOT in pain during the procedure and his recovery was NOT painful other than the fact that 2 bacterias ONE of the resistant to the antibiotic grew from the abscess.

Question: if you were planning on giving only 2ml lidocaine then why did you fill up the syringe to the 10ml mark? isn't the rest of it just wasted?

actually the WHOLE bottle of lidocaine (all 20 cc of lidocaine) will be wasted by the hospital regardless of how much the physician uses because they are single use vials. I fill the whole syringe because even if you expect to use 2-3 cc, what if you need to re-inject? then you have to find a new syringe and needle, draw it, etc. Big waste of time. Just be ready with plenty of lidocaine.

I watch these pus videos to see the pop and pus coming out. I was disappointed with this video. Oh well, this is why professionals suck...lol, they forget about us watchers needing to see the actual pus site.

You did a great job!! It's really hard to find a doctor with your level of kindness and gentleness. I hate going to a doctor that is very rough and everything you tell him is stupid and beneath him. Judging by the video and my experience. =)

if that patient was in pain, he would have been off that bed screaming. sure, it's an uncomfortable procedure. what dental procedure isn't? Dr. Oller did an excellent job. chances are pretty good it wouldn't have been just a little scar in his cheek, & might have even needed a drain. that would've looked good.
