This song did for Porter Waggoner what "Hurt" did for Johnny Cash. He used it to leave his mark on the world he left behind. I saw the video for this song, and I thought, "whoah, I wonder who wrote that song." I got the shock of my life when Johnny Cash's name was listed beside the songwriter icon. What an incredible tribute to Johnny. This is yet another fine example of one late legend paying tribute to another late legend. RIP to both Porter Waggoner (1927-2007) and Johnny Cash (1932-2003)
