Nice vid! Yeah, braid, heavy cover, and big bass; go together really well. I know I fish areas where I wouldn't even think to use line as LIGHT as 15 or even 20 pound. We don't really use the heavy braid for the bass, it's because of the cover we're putting our baits in. If you hook a big bass, double digit bass, and you're way back in heavy cover; you WILL be lucky to get them out with 15 OR even 20. With braid, you can crank hard; knowing your line will hold up. It's a must!

@mackles well braided line has a smaller diameter than fluoro or mono and has almost zero stretch making it ideal for close combat fishing where sensitivity, quick hook sets and power are needed. also because the line has really no stretch the line then has no play and no absorption for hook sets and playing out fish, requiring you to use 3x-4x heavier line to land ur fish.

ok someone please, what in the hell is the purpose of using 65+ braid for bass???? I use 15-20lb fluoro and have never had a situation where i felt that I needed more for strength. What is the practical application???
