@McClogs Horrifyingly disfigured is the way she looks. A simple but incomplete word to use is "ugly". I agree with certain opinions above; no parent should allow an infant to survive with such horrifying permanent scars. It's hard enough to survive in this world if you are even just plain looking. No average woman who has not spent time amongst the disfigured should be asked to discuss this topic.

@libragemleo true enough but you also have to realize we think on a higher level than 99% of the animal kingdom. Looks are not every thing when it comes to mating either. Strength and other things play a key role.

I think Sarah was just taken on a guilt trip. Susan is understandably emotionally unstable, and I can understand why she would act the way she did. But Sarah did not at all mean to offend, but merely highlight a similarity.

I have to agree with Susan on this. Sarah, 'looks attractive' to the superficial and will always have it easier than somebody like Susan...it would be kinder for her to just accept that she could not feel Susan's pain. It is really annoying for her to even try to pretend she understands what somebody like Susan goes through.
