NASA's LCROSS impacts the Moon's Cabeus Crater

The Centaur impacted the floor of Cabeus crater at 6:31 a.m. CDT. Flying four minutes behind, the LCROSS shepherding spacecraft hit the surface at approximately 6:35 a.m.

No it doesn't have the right to do anything it wants. I see no basis upon which it has any right to compromise the integrity of something which doesn't belong to it. I used ownership as a basis upon which one might have the right to change, damage or interfere with something. I see no basis for its assumed right.
