Amsterdam Oost new years (war) 2010/11

This is how Amsterdam likes to get down for new years.
I have to say, this is NOT in the centre and is just one of the "quieter" neighbourhoods.
I am not sure if you can see it from the clip but people just literally light up firecrackers everywhere, on the street, without much precaution.
and do they make a hell of a lot of noise!!!

LOL that's my old neighbourhood xD although i can remember between 1995 and 2005 the youth was more rebellious... and Skelm49; please don't mock on our celebration or in either way how we celebrate New Years Eve, grow up...

Well enjoy on the 31st. I will be watching real fireworks with music, together with little children. The police are there and the fire-brigade just in case. I will be watching a display of ART and MUSIC, you will be watching WAR and MADDNESS

@WomackNLD I am not scared of fireworks, I am scared of idiots who have these letal weapons in their hands. Go to the First Aid on New Year's eve and watch the victims with damaged eyes or blown off fingers...I worked there and it is horrendous. Special if little children are mained for life. And the worst is that is carries on for 24 hours. What about the animals!

I love it, when the ground is trilling while you try to launch your firework, and you see explosions everywhere!! Display firework is only nice when it is not new years eve!

Total madness and every idiot can buy explosives and without any safety set them off.

No matter if there are kids on the street or old age. It is a war zone.

Horrible primitive. Any other town in the world has an organised firework display.

Not in Holland, any idiot can set it off and it is dangerous and it carries on till early in the morning. Fire crackers are not fireworks.
