  • STEVEN3374 Also there's no need to take down ceiling like you say, just locate joists at both ends of ceiling, snap chalk line from both ends, overboard using 12.5mm plasterboard, fix with 50-60mm drywall screws, & you know the rest! That ceiling won't come down!!!!

  • At last Ghettogran, a spread who knows what the f*ck he's talking about!!

Steven3374, I also picked up on your pathetic attempt to write the crap you were going on about but I actually felt sorry for you.

I've been on the tools for over 25 years friend and I've learned the hard way. Trust me when I say this, you don't know what you're talking about so stop carrying on like a tosser. You'd probably struggle to wipe your own arse mate never mind plastering. Let's just agree to disagree! End of!

  • Don't be such a knob head. Boarding over ceilings is done all the time!

It's not always practical to rip an old ceiling down and make a total mess. Especially in a kitchen.

    Get a life Knob Head!

  • @15Hamster no it is 2 hours worth of work..for that one piece lol

  • FFS !!! As long as you get the job done and its done right !! who gives a fuck which way you do it pmsfl !!! Yous will be arguing about the size of your fucking trowels next haahhahaha

  • @Ghettogran why would you use 12.5 ? 9.5 would be better to handle and do the same job !

  • @LearnHowToPlaster Agreed, most older houses have fire retardant paper shredded and blown into the attic cavity for insulation, taking the old ceiling down would make a total mess and require the attic being relagged.

  • google plaster perfection for more vids, live chat, forums and tips

  • Harry Potter??

  • I have similar type ceiling thing is other parts of the ceiling that hasnt collapsed still has cracks...would it be better to knock it all down and sue a bigiger board and would u fit the board the same way in that case? Thanks!
