@bboyhalog out of those, to me, hate eternal is the heaviest, immolation is more catchy & imaginative, belphegor is black as all fuck, and aborted is just meh.

@welluhya haha for sure. they should have disbanded Cryptopsy & called it something else. None So Vile is one of the pillars in the temple of Death Metal, Unspoken King is a brick in the sewer underneath.

It's Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Deicide, and Immolation, but very close, and Suffocation should be credited too, because they fucking destroy, and have been around for a long time as well. Not to mention they played with Immolation many times in New York. Yes so does Dying Fetus lol.

@wrier agreed. I will say though, one main reason is because they don't pull out a million albums at a time, but keep it very solid and strong with the few (8 full lengths) releases they have. they had 4-5 year gaps between albums, but clearly you see the benefit of being professional and not rushing to put out albums just for the hell of it. That's why they're one of the Big Four of Death Metal!! \M/\M/!!!

I've been a fan of these guys since Dawn of Possession first came out. Every album is good at worst and incomparably awesome at best. Ross Dolan has the most sinister vocal delivery in the world.
