Like South Africa, China is beginning to grapple with rising frustration in inequality as millions are left out of the country's boom. According to the government's own figures, there were 87,000 labour disruptions and protests last year alone.
Yesterday, President Hu Jintao laid out the agenda for the Communist party's National Congress. His core theme? The urgent need to share the country's exploding wealth more evenly.
To zoom in now on the reality of inequality in China, we feature a special documentary report from the CBC's Michel Cormier in Beijing -- a personal story of China's rich and poor.
To talk about the policies and politics driving inequality in China, Avi's joined by David Kotz, Professor of Political Economy at the University of Massachusetts.

I won't have children because I know twhat will happen. If they'd pick on the ones who are like the 3rd generation and not marked with anything already that's like a giant beckon, I'd be fine, but no, I have to pay, and it'll just keep happening because we've got a huge middle class, desperation, and we can't even do street jobs, so I'm really screwed. I don't have anything to offer :P I'm keeping it that way. I pulled myself so far... NEVER!

She came to realizations and had an opportunity. As one as one doesnt flaunt or taunt, I'll be happy, but they always dip one into one, and it's annoying, like charity that isn't from the government sucks bc then you get trapped, like one's kids will do better but then the society will dip worth by grabbing the other's kids then -- or the one they can get to who was down anyway. They made it so that I couldnt' even get a normal job.

I haven't seen any country where there are only rich and no poor. And that women is also benefited from booming economy as see can sale fast food to labor working in factory. India and many countries has most worst condition than China.

The rich had better be careful or there will be a Communist revolution in China!
Oh wait, they already tried that...
Capitalism DOES work but it sucks for the bottom 90% of the population.
