Speer is the most junior of the Sydney Youth Orchestras. This orchestra gives each member the opportunity to play with like minded people and form friendships. Each young player receives expert training throughout the year.

The Speer Orchestra performs regularly as part of the Family Concert series, and also appears in special events like Junior Strings Days. Each member learns to play an extremely broad variety of repertoire including contemporary Australian music and arrangements of well-known orchestral works.

This performance is part of the Sydney Youth Orchestra SYO Summer Family Concert at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music on December 3, 2011.
