  • @wolfhammer2010 Have you actually ever been to a BJJ school? Because if you had you would have known that 3 out of your 4 assumptions of what is not taught were flat out wrong. But then again, subject competency has never been a pre-requisite for people to post on Youtube.

  • Gotta love that takedowns don't mean automatic win. Dam Pride was so much better

  • All the fighting arts have there weaknesses and there strengths, including BJJ. When you concentrate on the Sport of Judo (where certain techniques are banned in competition) you will lose to something like BJJ. But then remember that BJJ is not regarded as a Sport (not Olympic Sport) Judo, if all the other techniques are brought in you would have something that would rival BJJ.

  • That Judo guy doesn't even know how to block a very predictable kick. At 7:33 he even throws in his back. The line in which he can strike is 180 degrees turned from his opponent. First time in the ring mister Yoshida?

  • @kschumannjr lmfao, your comment is so gold.

  • @sparkyk24 "You're wrong. Judo was created to be a sport and a martial arts. Jiu Jitsu was made to kill"

Oh jeez. Well to be fair it MAY have been "made to kill", but it does not deliver on that promise one bit. Japanese Jujutsu just flat out sucks big fat donkey dick compared to highly evolved and time-tested arts like Judo and BJJ.

And no, BJJ is not Judo either. Very different arts now.

  • @19Judoka95 They did in the early days. When Royce and the other Gracies started fighting Japanese Judokas in Pride they smartly stopped wearing it. Since those days they've standardized what fighters are allowed to wear, and the gi is not allowed in 99% of MMA organizations today.

  • A simple answer would be because they can get grabbed or choked by their own gi.

  • I have a question, Why don't bjj fighters use a gi?

  • @MsMi321 You're wrong. Judo was created to be a sport and a martial arts. Jiu Jitsu was made to kill. Judo came from Jiu Jitsu, and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu came from that.

  • Being proficient at a ground fighting art, makes you a better striker. When you aren't afraid to get taken down you can strike at will! People who discount the need to learn a ground fighting art like BJJ, put all there eggs in one basket. You have one shot. If you miss against a solid grappler, you are toast. Grapplers will beat Strikers 99% of the time.

  • @kentaappel yoshida vs wanderlei silva.
