Its not a whip to me. A whip would be higher in frequency, and more 'ragid'
A very fast moving metal blade makes much more sense, clean, homogenous.
Now...
Imagine yourself tied to the table of Edgar Allen Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum.
Its pitch black, and all you can hear is a faint whooshing sound that gets louder
and louder...

@flippineckers It's a wooden temple block put through a stereo reverb so the block comes out on the left and the reverb tail comes out on the right speaker. I can recreate this sound exactly.
