Here we have Brian Holcomb driving a 1946 Standard Beetle (owned by Mark Merrill) at about 55 mph on I-101 in San Jose, CA heading back to the barn from the 2011 Kelley Park event. Brian's passenger is fellow Wisconsin-ite Mike Fischer. This matt black '46 features the original 25 hp motor ad full "crashbox" transmission! I videoed this clip from the driver seat of Mark's awesome 1967 "sales flap" Hi-Roof Split-windshield VW Bus. Mark, thanks again for letting us enjoy the pleasure of driving your bitcin' old cars to shows from your incredible collection! Bill Bowman

  • @chuppoacobra and some fools want it slammed, please

  • @eams1er if i had an original 46 theres no way in hell i would do such a dumb thing of slamming it.

  • ohhh man!!!!!

    priceless!

    please drive safely.

98% of the of people passing by this guy and his gem have no freaking clue what it is that he is driving. most will look and see a slug-bug and not see it any differently than the next beetle that they pass which will be some Super.

    Beautiful!
