Let's be clear. "Woods" was released on Bon Iver's "Blood Bank" in January of 2009. Later, in September of that year, "Still" was released on "Unmap" by Volcano Choir. Kanye's "Lost in the World" which samples "Woods" was released in late 2010, almost an entire year AFTER the earlier recordings. Justin Vernon composed or was involved with all three versions, meaning Kanye was the only person "covering" or sampling anything.

3. yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. just because you don't get it doesn't mean it's not there. even if we disregard your inability to recognize melodic sequence (as there are no "actual melodies" here, right?), you obviously have no appreciation for atmosphere and texture, which are the real focuses of this piece
