Property values are likely to increase in 2010, but little growth is likely to be seen until the latter part of the year.
These are the predictions from industry experts, such as the Building Societies Association, who are expecting a three per cent increase in prices during the year.
The National Association of Estate Agents warned that the start of 2010 would be a quiet one on the market, as changes to stamp duty and VAT mean consumers step back.
On top of this, it was warned that any recovery would be "heavily dependent" on stability in the jobs market. As a result, the BSA expect that price growth will remain moderate.
Oh look house prices are falling now! About time. Prices are overpriced!
