Please watch in 1080p HD!!!

After posting the August fifth Ocean Speedway A-Main King of the West Series 410 Sprint Car action on YouTube, I wanted to post some on the other interesting things that happened earlier that night out in Watsonville, CA. This video starts with qualifying up to the Last Chance Showdown (B-Main). Although there was a lot of highlights during this night, the selected few are some of my favorite moments. Information about each video to follow:

#1 (6:11pm): Traveling all the way from the state of Washington, the #7s of Kevin Smith takes to the track for his qualifying attempt. As soon as he enters turn two, he hits the berm out there and rolls his car over. He only suffers top wing damage and would roll out the last car in qualifying with a new top wing.

#2 (6:18pm): Placerville's Andy Gregg takes to the track for qualifying and on his first lap, he sets a new track record of 11.392 seconds. After his second lap, in which he ran slower, he does a mini wheelie both on the back and front stretch.

#3 (6:25pm): The home town favorite takes to the track. Scotts Valley's Evan Suggs smokes the tires coming off of turn two for his qualifying attempt. On lap one, in the words of late Indianapolis Motor Speedway Announcer Tom Carnegie, "It's a new track record!!!" Evan Suggs runs a blistering 11.345 seconds to take the number one position at Ocean Speedway.

#4 (7:06pm): During the heat #3 race on lap one, St. Helena's Rico Abreu gets too close to Chico's Jonathan Allard in turn one and they touch tires. Instead of flipping over or one tire running over another, Rico's left front wheel shears off the car and while his tire comes to a rest in turn one, he was finally able to bring the car to a stop on the backstretch.

#5 (7:16pm): On lap one of heat race #4, the 3T of Nick Ringo, gets loose coming off of turn one and collects the #96 of Justin Sanders causing Justin to spin out and Nick hits a tire on the infield before coming to a stop at turn two.

#6 (8:15pm): After the final yellow flag came out in the Last Chance Showdown, the fight for the win between Rico Abreu and Justin Sanders was pretty good, so I decided to post it as my final video in this highlight reel. All the starters you see in the beginning did make it to the A-main event (which is already posted here on YouTube).

Please feel free to like, comment, and/or leave feedback as it is greatly appreciated. I hope you all enjoy this video and once again, thanks for watching!!!!
