  • Was anything else done to this car besides the STS? The exhaust sounds particularly mean for having silencing turbos in there

  • Yes. It is a built LS2 402 and there is lots done to the car in addition. It since ran 800hp at the tires on the same dyno with bigger turbos and a boost increase. However, I have not been able to get the shop to send me that vid.

  • Do you ever plain on bumping up the boost?

  • Turns out the actual boost was only 8 psi in this run. I put a boost controller on it and it is going up to 12 for street and maybe 14,15 on race gas. I'll post a new vid when done.

  • Pushrods are not necessarily bad. Compared to the ford 32 valve v8, the ls1 is physically smaller and lighter, and the pushrods are adequate for the 6000rpm or so it runs.  Also, pushrods allow a much simpler head design which is cheaper to produce.

  • it is just the reality that pushrod engines exists in the 21 century... and you wouldn't say, that pushrod engines sucks if you just drove once a corvette c6 z06....

  • @idontknow5858 Haha. The 4.6 v6, is just the 5.7 with two pistons removed. Idk about the v8.

  • @FordsBetter516 The mustang is more or less comparable to the camaro, in my opinion. And even if people compared those, at least specs wise..they'd still be disappointed on the mustangs side. But Mustangs are a reliable car, just like camaros.

  • @GTLgamer i drove my uncles Z06. its a badass car ill admit. i drive a 02 GT with some bolt ons. people always compare mustangs and vettes. . .well. they arent even close. price range wise, and performance wise. i guess you get what you pay for eh?

  • that should be plenty for anybody. plus the sick idle!!!! i would probably invest in those electric exhaust cut outs. closed in the neighborhood. open at the cruise in. just a thought. that thing is loud all the time!!!!

  • I have a 2003 Z06 with a built bottom end running a P-1 Procharger @10lbs of boost and I'm putting down around 590 at the wheels. I'm assuming you're talking about a regular C5 corvette... bone stock with 10lbs/ P-1 Procharger expect anywhere from 420- 500 hp at the wheels depending on ECU tune, exhaust ect ect.

    with turbos though, thats recycling power.

  • intake headers intake manifold exhast. tune it.
