Because there was a time when parents weren't scared of everything... and children were treated as if they had brains in their heads.

Sad that creativity became a crime. I bow down to the wild imagination and amazing amount of detail these animators put into this trippy movie. I loved it as a kid and love it now.

Well, it seemed the 70's was when animated movies got more adult oriented in general. The Ralph Bakshi stuff ( Wizards, Fritz the Cat, Heavy Traffic ) also came out during the same time period as this flick and THEY were rated R and X. It wasn't that Walt Disney stuff anymore ( though THAT would make a comeback later on ) .

Any similarity between her & Ruby Heart in terms of cleavage is purely coinicidental...

I don't see anything wrong with Babette, you people make it seem like she's actually popping out. XDD

People wore those clothes back in those times. They wore these horrid things called corsets that slimmed your waist down and pushed your boobs up. She's not really showing anything.

Hmm, she had a visible chest, and she wanted to show a bunch of pirates who probably haven't seen a woman in a while "a good time" in Paris, the home of Moulin Rouge and Crazy Horse.

    Yowza.

This is why pirates were not respected untill "Pirates of the Carribian" came around.
