Its one of the worse pains I've ever experienced. I've been ran over by a car, thrown out of a car, have had multiple surgeries, gave birth.. watched multiple people die. I think the only thing worse would be burning alive.

Detox is one thing.. Then you have recovery.. Your pride, your self esteem, physical appearance.. Hurts like hell. And this will be for the rest of my life. The struggle to make sure I never fall again.

In retrospect, its not really the worst pain in the world, it just feels like it is at the time lol.

Its certainly no fun though.

One way might not work for everyone. So keep in mind if you tried rehab with cold turkey detox and it failed, don't give in.. Try another way. And don't listen to people around you if they say something didn't work for them so it won't for you.. try every way. I'm proof! It sucks in the begining but it gets better. I am a better and stronger person BECAUSE of my addiction. I've been down in a hole.. So when I have a sh*tty day, I tell myself it could be worse! I will have faith in all of you! :)

I am celebrating 4yrs and 4months sober. Opiate addiction is exactly what Layne said in his last interview."The pain is more than you can handle. It's the worst pain in the world. Dope sick hurts the entire body." I can feel the pain in his words. But I wanted to leave a comment here because I know when I failed at sobriety and relapsed again and again.. I thought it wasn't possible. How many do you know get off this sh*t? Please know it is possible! There are different ways. One will work.
