Using that logic, how can a state tax anything? YOUR property can't be taxed because the government doesn't own it and YOUR goods/purchases can't be taxed for the same reason. It seems that libertarians just have a philosophical revulsion to the idea of income taxes. I am all for expanding freedom/opportunity, but not too many libertarians offer realistic ways for freedoms/opportunities to be the same for each person. Progressive income taxes are one way to do this.

I don't agree w/ everything he says but he's right about the Fed and the costly, damaging wars abroad, including the War on Drugs.

Also, Thomas Jefferson is one of my heroes so yeah, I believe the 16th amendment is a joke and I don't consider it a part of the Constitution. We got by just fine for many years until you big-government folks decided an amendment was necessary to legalize theft by uncle sam. Hell, why don't you guys make another amendment to the Constitution and legalize theft altogether? Sadly, I wouldn't be shocked if it happened someday.
