@killerrodan And really, what you'res saying about Transformers can be fairly applied to Kill Bill. Do I dislike Kill Bill? Hell no! I absolutely adore it and find it as not only a fantastic homage to exploitation cinema but also partially a childhood classic for me in a way. But still, that film is merely about style and over the top bloody and gory violence...just like Transformers is a mindless explosion...Really, I feel like it captured the confusion of the situations in the film.

@killerrodan No, you are being rather biased. He might not be an artistic director, but he sure as hell can direct action sequences. Tarantino and Kubrick are hands down my two favorite directors, especially in the aesthetics department, but I will still watch Transformers and enjoy it. I thought the third film had very good graphics, but I terribly despised the story...The first two films were love letters to the mythology and built it into something else....

@Transformers2themax I wasn't saying they were trash because they had stuff blowingn up.I'm not being incredibly biased.I've seen all three. They were still trash. If fine if you like them.Baye can kiss my rear end.Just bceause they are action films doesn't mean they can't be any good.An action film can good but Transformers treated the viewers like they had the intelligence of a baby since the films were like shaking a shinny pair of keys to make an infant laugh.

@killerrodan Even as much as I love them, is that not what exploitation films were? It's totally cool if you don't like them, but to say that makes it a "bad film" is incredibly biased. I myself really liked the first two films and even I can admit that they are just summer blockbusters with special effects. Anyone with an aesthetic eye will say that the effects are impressive. And the fact that it's an action film, decently illustrates its "point", or purpose.

@Transformers2themax Oh okay.but that's the thing with the Transformers films. They don't try anything good besides the effects and very random stuff blowing up at randoming times at random locations for no reason at all so they felt extremely boring. The acting id below decent. It was like having the 4th of July celebration on the 10th of July.Sure,it looks really nice but there's no real point.
-
@killerrodan Well, they were summer blockbusters. Not my absolute favorite, separate from my username (which is hater bait), but I did enjoy the first two films. They were well-shot action films with decent acting and crass humor. Amazing graphics and not necessarily an amazing story but...It took something as blocky and fake as the Transformers in the '80s and turned it into something actually badass. I agree that they have no true artistic substance, but they are entirely preference-based.

@BunionMann Glad to hear you liked it! If you haven't already, may I suggest you watch 'Once Upon a Time in the West'? Another Leone's masterpiece, you won't be disappointed :)
