No man of the west could fail to appreciate the Sons of the Pioneers and Marty recorded several of their songs during his career. This was a hit for them in 1947 and it was revived by Rex Allen Jr and Marty in the 70's and 80's.

They often sang backup with Marty on many of his songs, including El Paso and Devil Woman. What I like most is that Marty always encouraged them to share the same microphone together with him, rather than to have them standing in a different part of the stage, away from the spotlight. It always looks like they were all having fun singing together too.
