Actually, Seamus, we're making fun of you because:
1. You failed at it repeatedly and in an amusing manner
2. The fact that you had failed EVERY TIME beforehand never deterred you.
3. You get so worked up when we poke fun at you about it.
There are other reasons, but I can't be bothered to think of them right now. Also, "learning" does not mean "doing something incorrectly over and over without adjusting when you fail". That is all.
