This music video comes from a hauntingly beautiful song written by Chapel Hill, NC artist, Michael Kelsh, after he moved up to Nashville, TN. It is one of two videos that were part of my Masters Thesis for UNC-Greensboro's (www.uncg.edu) Film and Video Production M.F.A.. The video is an exploration "of the gaze" as Michael stars as a young man in love with his neighbor, an unwed mother. What a treat to discover this video. I remember hearing this song on WXYC in 1988 or so. And enjoyed seeing MIchael perform it live at some little bookstore/cafe in Chapel Hill. Beautiful melody and singing.
