its in MGS4, but its in Snake's dream before Shadow Moses, which was a flashback of the heliport from MGS1.

OMG Zummone i noticed the other night when playing through Act 4 that encounter sounded different. I love u for posting up this video. because i am an encounter fanatic, i like hearing diff versions and seeing if it has the "Evasion beat" in the background and this version is diff to the original like u said. its a bit "emphasised"? nice video

@zummone I know. :P And the same theme is played in the original Metal Gear Solid for PsX. But ... ah what the heck , every Encounter theme is epic. lol
-
@robodroid00 >Twin Snakes
lol, that game is still wishing this theme
also, where did TheMorrisseyMan say this was a remix? it's not, you're right, but you can't say it's the same as the original, it uses the same sheet music yeah but they've changed the instruments a little, specifically the drums

@TheMorrisseyMan What?!?! It's not a remix! It's the ORIGINAL encounter , the one from Metal Gear Solid/Twin Snakes.

11 months on and i still fucking love this version
-
@zummone Also the MGS4 is ALOT more calm and slow compared to the original
-
It's like if MGS1 was released about 8 months later than it actually was.

thanks for annhilating my ears.

[Commercial:] If you really like Encounters so much I uploaded an 800% slower version.

Definitedly one of the best themes from the MetalGear series in my humble opinion.

Awesome! i was hoping that someone will upload this Version. Its a Remix that does not change the original to much. The MGS is by far one of the best series ever made. Not like many game of today when they pass the third one they become horrible or boring. I hope if they do a MGS5 that it will be something as good as the original one. I hope of a remake of Metal Gear 1 and 2. In the mean time i will complete them on the HD collection.
You sure it's not just the recording quality that does this?

@NeoTStyle Recording quality or not a tune doesn't just change accidentally, also I played the original game to get sure the mgs4 version was actually different, and you can't fool that because they are not recordings but sequenced music (midi)

The drums do sound more refined and clear.
The different midis also seem to have been adjusted so that some instruments for example the violins and drums stand out more.
At least that's what I can make out.

@NeoTStyle That is because they refined the instrument as you clearly noticed, but that doesn't apply to the fact of my recording, or did I got you bad of what you were intending?
