@chesty1942 ------ No they are not. Read my comment below, but I recognize the fact that Hitler was an evil and smart man. If he had just left the jews alone and didnt start a war he would be considered a Hero by today's standards and not the evil monster he was to become. My only wish is that America had things like this. Mass rallies, ceremonies, festivals and a high employment rate with no national deficit.

I dont codone Hitler and his Nazi thugs. I believe theyre burning in hell for their crimes against humanity. Nor do i codone National Socialism. Both the latter and Hitler are evil. I am not a jew, I am an African American christian who believes in equality for all. Now with that said I can see why the people loved him. Hitler gave everyone jobs, unemployment went down. He gave them a uniform, ceremonies, pagentry and Mass rallies that instilled German pride.

@swastika51 true. before the Nazi's invade Poland nearly everyone (including Time magazine) was praising the achievements of Germany. The world today would be a far different place if it weren't for the scientific and industrial achievements of Germany during the 1930's and 40's.

@swastika51 you can't in all honestly claim that the German people were (all) Nazi's, can you? That's rediculous. They were sweep up in an emotional/propagandized campaign of nationalism. The German people have made great contributions to humanity. This is what should be focused on. After all, if it weren't for the Germans, we would never have gone to the Moon. And there are alot of people who feel that going to the moon was The Achievement of Man. Although I don't agree.
