We look at the Special Forces Combat Assault Rifle, or SCAR made by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal (FNH) for the U.S. Special Operations Command. The SCAR is chambered for the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge

  • Hey I guess since the military canceled the SCAR contracts this guy has gone to work for Adcor Defense now. Adcor's BEAR is still in the competition, the SCAR is not. The long stroke reciprocating bolt charge handle is a killer... you DON'T want to get in it's way.

  • @williamED15 furthermore, the 5.56 ones are aired to be taken off the SOCOM inventory. However it will still compete with quite a lot of chances in a future competition forreplacing the M4A1 or something like that.

  • They won't let you take it apart on film cause there's really a G36C stuffed inside.

  • Isn't this the same guy that was promoting the Adcor Bear?

  • pencil thin barrel ... don;t think so.

  • @williamED15 Yes you are correct, cancel their order on the 16....and up it to the 17 chambered in 308

  • @Cookies205 Well there are a lot of factors to that like basically every firearms manufacturers says there gun is superior its just business but its more complicated. A lot of people prefer the feel of DI even for its faults and a lot of the products the military spends tax money on isn't cross compatible with the SCAR, that's why there are so many AR15 clones, its cheaper to alter a gun then replace it.

  • @williamED15 but he makes this gun sound very much the superior of the m4, why didn't they make the switch?

  • @Cookies205 some of the 7.62 models were delivered but for the most part SOCOM is still using the colt M4A1 Sopmod

  • @williamED15 wait but aren't some SOF individuals still using this gun?
