Im one year later and my PS3 died.
Apperantly it was from the 7200PRM disk.
DO NOT USE IT.

@keshaz12 Isn't 7200RPM too much for a ps3?
-
so you can use a 5600rpm with 8 mb cache too? PLEASE ANSWER IT HELPS ME A LOT!

Can you back-up your whole PS3, HDD's data to your PC (i.e. my laptop's D disk, 100 GB) using a USB-USB cable? (do you really have to use a external hard disk)
-
your hdd is not 500GB its 465.
-
So ur gonna have to copy all the saved game data utility or is that just to have a full back up?
-
Is the hard drive of the ps3 same as hard drives of pc? or is there a specific hard drive for ps3's?

You shouldnt get 7200 rpm, its extremely bad for your playstation, it can cause major overheating, and irreperable damages to your system
