@urbex2007 the white strobe indicated that the opticom is on and transmitting, because on all of our fire engines you can see the white strobe while looking at the truck when its operating in emergency mode
-
@dmitry103 actually, if more then one emergency vehicle tone is recognized from more then one direction, all lights turn red.
-
WHOOOHOOOO WOODBURY MN!!!!!
-
@urbex2007 Cameras can see infrared.
-
infra red doesn't light up bright white! How about showing a real demonstration of the system? You didn't once show the control unit in the vehicle or the emitter, or even the receiver on the traffic lights.

@dalejr82010 - Yes I am very aware of that I am a firefighter and yes I have taken EVOC the incident I am referring to it was two firehouses competing to get to the call first, but I am well aware of the proper procedure when responding I was simply stating that the system isn't fool proof and Due Regard and caution is still very necessary

@dalejr82010 theres no reason for me to.

What if 2 emergency vehicles equiped with that system come to the same intersection, but not the same street?

For emergency vehicles there's First Come - First Serve basis.
