To make the batteries to power these EVs has a huge environmental impact. The EV will have to travel many miles to balance the impact before it begins to pay off, but sadly the distance is so huge, most EVs will never cover the distance in its life time. There is also the electricity needed from the NG to charge the batteries and if the EV needs a new battery at some point, then you can see how much of a waste of time the concept is. Hopefully the piston engine will be around for many years yet.

@supaschwamal You're right. Motoring is supposed to be fun and the G-wiz clearly is not, not to mention dangerous for several reason. I would be depressed if I drove a G-wiz.

For all the people knocking electric cars and electric car lovers the first ever car built was electric. These cars are ground braking with their distanses. So when you cant buy gas for your car just simply use ur electric one, oh thats ride some of u still have gusseling Volvos.
