@Sarnuial Nah, I've hard hard drives survive things like that. They're also mounted in rubber in a lot of thinkpads.

@Sarnuial Hard drives are pretty sturdy when turned off, the problem is when the hard drive is turned on and reading/writing head is on top of the discs. The hard drives in Thinkpads does also have a rubber protection around the edges, which protects it. But still an amazing story, I love my R500.
