This scene & song were written for the film Cabaret and is just wonderful. Originaly censored from the film for a number of years, It was covered by Skinhead band Skredriver. It should be an anthem for all mankind.

The sun on the meadow is summery warm
The stag in the forest runs free
But gathered together to greet the storm
Tomorrow belongs to me

The branch on the linden is leafy and green
The Rhine gives its gold to the sea (Gold to the sea)
But somewhere a glory awaits unseen
Tomorrow belongs to me

Now Fatherland, Fatherland, show us the sign
Your children have waited to see
The morning will come
When the world is mine
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me

[ADDITIONAL VERSE]
The babe in his cradle is closing his eyes
The blossom embraces the bee
But soon says the whisper, arise, arise
Tomorrow belongs to me
Tomorrow belongs to me

  • i vote for the song, the performance. and For the party.

  • "Tomorrow Belongs to Me" was written by John Kander and Fred Ebb in the style of a traditional German song to stir up patriotism for the "fatherland". It has often been mistaken for a genuine "Nazi anthem" and has led to the songwriters being accused of anti-Semitism. This would be most surprising, as they are, in fact, Jewish (This fact has not stopped openly racist and anti-Semitic rock groups, like Skrewdriver, from recording the song and performing it at White Power rallies)

  • @ObsceneParanoia Judging from his dress I think he was supposed to represent a Bolshevik, they clashed with the Nazis often during the early period.

  • @severrnijKGU The old guy who tries not to draw attention, but won't stand up is Jewish in this film.

  • A quien 'pararemos los pies' de nuevo es a la mentira de los Aliados, y a los mil anos de inmunidad criminal de un cierto grupo, no hebreo sino sionista, vasias veces ya castigado.Una mas....

  • @SkumWhisperer Do not worry; we are aware of the Allies complot....so we know of themeaning of this song. I urgent recomend his audio display in all european streets 12houres a day ! Only change, may change to-morrow by to-day, for the time is short !

  • It rings with scarey overtones of what is happening in our country today. The old guy is smart. He knows the score. I'd forgotten about this scene in Cabaret. At first, it reminded me of The Sound Of Music.

  • it's really interesting to see the cross section of ages and how they see this thing. the kids are knee deep in it and cant see. 0:51 that guy is middle aged and he can see, but is severely deluded, fanatical. 1:32 that old guys like, i'm getting too old for this shit, what the hell's wrong with these people?

  • obama's theme song?

  • That guy is mighty cute.

  • @SkumWhisperer Really? Gosh people who think any single race is the only race meant to exists on this planet is such an annoyance.
