Metal didn't die when Pantera "changed their image" whatever that means.There have been relevant TRUE Metal bands way better than them forever long before they ever existed.Poison was just fucking garbage so they don't even matter.If you want to talk about Hair Metal than Motley Crew dominated that genre.There are so many genres still relevant.It never died.

What's false metal? Metal technically died when Pantera changed their image before Cowboys From Hell...you can be technical or you can be virtual, and if you want to be technical than Poison was the last good metal band, and metal has been a dead genre since 1989.
