  • @WarBeer Maybe you should have addressed your comment to "paulgnr" above, as I totally agree with you. Or did you just get the wrong line?? LOL.

  • @chalomirof63 ....I don't think that many know that Eli is quite a comedian himself. For the pittance(if any payment was received) ...I surely doubt this was out of some "need". Eli's had a very successful career....and has a HUGE cult following. The man is by no means desperate in ANY way. It's a bit sad when people chain there idols to pedestals...never accepting or allowing them to be human.

  • I was born on this exact day!

  • Is Conan interviewing Karl from Sling Blade at the beginning?

  • @paulgnr I understand what you're saying; but, considering the greatness of his acting/movie career, don't you think that that in itself cushions the perception of this "sad" and "desperate" move. I certainly don't see it as sad, and I'm sure - though can't read his mind - that he himself doesn't perceive it as such. His career speaks for itself, and he can certainly afford to have a little fun without that fun obscuring his past greatness.

  • @chalomirof63 Perhaps, but to an outside observer that is cognizant of the great movies Eli has played in, this infantile scene seems like a sad and desperate move.

  • @paulgnr Wow, that's a tad harsh, no?? Maybe he was doing it for sheer fun, and not out of necessity??

  • This is probably the lowest point in Eli Wallach's career.
