@ssn708 you actually have a good point, i dont think he meant to "shoot" him either, but in saying that i still think that for one a "gun" and a "taser" feel different enough to notice, and also even though the officer did shoot him i dont think he was "devistated" by it.

No thanks, but wouldn't mind if you said "pop" and pulled your head out of your ass. The officer felt he and the others were in danger, he was there and reacted accordingly to insure their safety. Grant's noncompliance is what forced the shooting, nothing else. Just for educational purposes, a shooter is just as deadly from the prone or supine position as the officer is from the Weaver. The kid's actions forced the officer's reaction. If you want to debate this, feel free, but come with facts.

@jrowe6 Pirone kicks him when he stands up, after being repeatedly ordered to remain seated (after Grant assaulted 2 officers). Grant did not deserve to die, and Mehserle was criminally negligent. It was an accident, NOT a murder. Mehserle still absolutely deserves prison.
