I recall these kind of albums in the US with anonymous singers covering popular hits. They'd sell them in the grocery stores. I thought they were lame at the time... but it's good to hear Elton.

I'm not real sure I liked the way Elton sounded doing this song...maybe because im not used to his lower pitch.I think the way he sings now,with a higher pitch would sound 100% better.wish he would redo it the way he sounds now.I think it would sound great!!!!
