Zenyatta vs Rachel Alexandra

I was impressed by undefeated Zenyatta mastered another Vanity and 'Rachel' set a stakes record in the Mother Goose on June 27, so i was wondering who is the better filly/mare? So you can post a video response to this video deticating it to the filly you like!

richael is way better ten z richael won vs males more then once and she is a front runner wich is harder...z couldnt make twice against boys... i work in santa anita but i love richael,,, she runs great,,,,other horse that i loved was ventura, she was a great too, z is a good filly but she almost ran in california all her races,,a good horse runs any track turf or dirt .. come on z is n that good....

@groomontherun Also being undefeated for 19 starts is pretty impressive on any surface.Rachel never ran on turf and noor did Zenyatta so what are you talking about "a good horse runs on any track turf or dirt" I thought both mares were pretty amazing.Now Zenyatta is one of the GREATEST race horses of all times, you cant just say "oh Zenyatta isnt that good" please how about you look back on her career and see how much she accomplished.Im not against Rachel,shes a nice mare im just making a point

@RuffianA101 no she isnt that good...practically she ran most of her carrer in california... and that counts.....what happen with lava man after he was claimed he started to win good races but when hwent out of california he didnt won..why cus no the best horses are i california.

@groomontherun oh wow! She is won of the top 5 best thoroughbreds in history! Who cares if she ran most of her races in CA. Any surface any time Zenyatta would beat Rachel. Rachel cant go 1 1/4m so that would be an easy win over Rachel for Zenyatta if Rachel actually came to the Classic in 09. Lava Man is great horse maybe he wasnt that great out of CA but its not like Zenyatta hasnt raced out of CA she won the Apple Blossom Handicap twice and went to the Classic 2010.

@groomontherun Whoa so your saying that none of the best thoroughbreds are from CA?! Wow I can name about 10 of them off hand. Seabiscuit, Round Table, Stagehand, Citation, Noor, Two Lea, Swaps, Silky Sullivan, Zenyatta, Lookin At Lucky, oh and Lava Man:)

uh ya sure RA has won against colts three times, but all those three year old colts Zen just beat and also a english champion and a turf champion RA is a good horse, but she isn't unbeaten and I believe Zen could beat RA, also Ra has raced at Keeneland so she didn;t have much of an excuse to not be at the classic

Ok, first of all, they are both good. Unfortunately 2009 Rachel was not the same as 2010 Rachel. She may have been able to beat Zenyatta but we will never know. You can't give Rachel credit for something that has never happened. Also, if Zenyatta had raced Rachel in 2010, she would have beaten her, but Rachels owner backed out every time. We will never know, but you have to admit that Rachel is the one who came back the next year and was not even close to being the Preakness winner we all luv.

Theres only 1 race in 09' Zenyatta would have been able to catch Rachel in. That is the Woodward stakes. After a grueling season, she goes all out in this race and sets blazing fractions. She shook off Da'Tara off, then Past the Point, the Bullsbay like a tagteam in a wrestling match. Finally they took out their greatest weapon, the closer. A deep-closer, that is extremely mature like Macho Again. Yet he could't catch her still. Zenyatta is the only one that could've.

@queenluciaa rachel doesnt want to run a mile and a quarter. In the personal ensign she ran head and head with life at ten for a mile and shook that bitch off like she was standing still at the qurter pole. she just doesnt want to go that far. Plus word on the backside at churchill was that rachel had a chip taken out of her ankle after the woodward. thats why she didn't run for six months. The public wasn't privy to that knowledge.

rachel would have smoked zenyattas ass in 09 going a mile and an eighth. Big z is an amazing horse but she would never have made up the ground. nine times out of ten the speed horse wins the match race

@queenluciaa Zardana just ran for the first time since June, so she was probably injured or something. Unless you can come up with an explanation that makes more sense. And going into the PE, Persistently was an allowance filly. Had she won a grade 1 or even any stakes race for that matter, then you could say Rachel got beat by a non-allowance horse. Nothing will change her record going into the PE and I'd be shocked if she ever wins another graded stakes race.
