Define your curls 4c hair

Here is how I defined my curls using a mixture of: Eco styler gel - crystal Qhemet biologics soft tea gel Natural Aloe vera gel Sweet almond oil Jojoba oil Vegetable glycerin Essential oils I like the way my curls came out. If you want more definition, I would suggest not to use oil in the mixture. You can use any gel you like. I found the qhemetic biologics soft tea gel to be very light and doesn't give much hold for my hair type.

What do you mean by 4b or 4c hair?

@margaverhart it's just a hair category that hair falls into. so most afro hair tends to be type 4, whether u are a, b, or c wll depend on how kinky your hair is. It's not a big thing to get hung up on. I find it helps knowing when purchasing products.

Why is everyone trying to make her 4b and 4a. THE WOMAN IS 4C!! Just because they say 4c hair has no curls doesn't mean its true because we do, they are just harder to define. Her texture looks different because it is well moisturized and when it gets a little longer it starts to look looser. For goodness sake, just because her hair looks nice doesn't mean she's not 4c. People treat 4c like a dang plague.

@temickab as your hair grows longer it will hang down more due to the weight of it. You just have to get through the in between stage. Don't hate your hair. You can do lots with it.

I really hate my 4c hair. It never laid down like yours. the only style that looked right was the puffs and the two strand twists. I was really hoping for a looser curl pattern for my hair. Your curl pattern is really nice

Try doing a two strand twist al around you hair.Let it dry and take them out. You may like that better.

@RoadyDean91 4c hair is beatiful but that doesn't mean her hair is 4c. Its not wiry and thin, which are common characteristics for 4c hair.

I have really coily roots. When i seperate my hair I can see curls. I've never seen my real grown out before but my mom always told me it was "rough and dry" so I'm assuming im 4C hair???
