We can only begin to solve these problems once we ditch religion and stem the tide of overpopulation.

And everyone buying what they want is your business WHY???

@CSATexan 1. That's nice advice Texan, I have curbed buying "their" stuff. Unfortunately everyone else is.
2. Don't worry about my comments or making comments to my comments and I won't have to rip you a new one :) Have a nice day!

That sounds like a made up problem.
Here is the ONLY advice you will ever need.
1 Don't boy their stuff
2 Don't worry about other people buying their stuff.

Consumption will never stop, until bankers/business elite and cardinal economic values are toppled from their perch tops, and the societies freed of their grip.
Until that happens, expect more marketing and ads geared to stoke your appetite to consume more things you don't need -- but gives a good return for investors.

@RBLA818 why435.org is working towards the goal of honest representation. Check out our site and read up on Article the First.

We have the solutions, but nothing will change until you first take money out of politics and have honest representation and common sense legislation to benefit humanity as a whole. As long as there is no Campaign Finance Reform in the U.S. The whole world is screwed.

I loved this doc, I think it really laid out the heart of our problems quite clearly. I did find disagreement with how some of the speakers painted technology however. This is actually a fallacy in reasoning - (misplaced cause, if you dig that kinda stuff). Sci&Tech is just how human beings solve problems, that's all. It's when we develop a technology and use it without intelligence, large-scale awareness and compassion (ethics) that harm occurs. Bio-eng is NOT a progress trap - Monsanto *IS*!!

@open2energy I wish Zeitgeist had gained a bit more acceptance in the broader community when it came out (that an successive films like addendum that featured Fresco). I recently saw this above doc - and I have to say, I think it's impact was accessible to most people (i.e. my parents "got it"). Personally I appreciate all of them - sometimes watching these sorts of films help to reassure that my thinking is generally leading me in the right direction - It's not an easy path, but I'm not alone.
Two words.
Jacques Fresco.
There is your answer.
If you expect answers from your leaders... You are giving them the responsibility.
If you give them the responsibility... You are giving them the power.
If you give them the power... You lose your freedoms.
Freedom and irresponsibility are simply incompatible.
You want freedom! Get responsible!
Your leaders will jump at the chance to offer their solutions. For by doing so...
Jump at the opportunity at gaining more of your power. Get it?
