I don't know why she was so shy.. accents are fascinating. She spoke so little that she sounded British. There was only one short stretch when you could hear her true southern accent.
Folks, when someone wants to hear an accent, just start talking. Do it for science.

Yeah but to me she sounded like she was from south carolina where im from.. But I did hear it again and it sounded slightly English. But there is a reason for that remember the South was settled by Scotch Irish immigrants.. So the accent may sound british at times.. We even use words that are still similar to old or middle english like Y'all which is related to Ye All or all of you...etc....
