First days flight of my latest Tiger Moth. If you haven't had one of these, I highly recommend one. This one is powered by the optional larger brushed motor, not the stock IPS (indoor power system). Total weight with an 800mah 2cell lipo is 10.7oz.
Even with this larger motor, the plane slows down very nicely.
I modified this plane with a nose to look like a Gypsy Moth, (earlier version of the Tiger Moth). Also the landing gear is re-enforced, a carbon fiber tube is under the lower wing, and balsa was added to the struts along with braided fishing line for rigging. I'm using Pull-Pull for the controls.

And yes, I'm embarased by what I did at the end - got distracted, and frankly, got complacent, because these Tiger Moths are so easy to fly, I just looked away for a second, and boom, down it went. Chipped a tip off the wing, but repaired easy.

  • Nice plane!

I got a pico Tiger Moth too!

It is with IPS. I'm searching for a gearbox brusheless to use 10" props, just like IPS, but with more power.

The 350 is huge and heavy, It's amazing see how well this can fly!
